California Attorney General Jerry Brown is expected to make an announcement about the warrants later today, the AP reports.

The Medical Board of California announced in April it was investigating Smith's psychiatrist, Khristine Eroshevich, who authorized the 11 prescription medicines found in her Florida hotel room the day she died last February.

More than 600 pills, including 450 muscle relaxants, were missing from Smith prescriptions that were no more than five weeks old when she died, according to court documents obtained by the AP.
